Homeopathy in Singapore

Some common illnesses in Singapore

Singapore is an island country just one degree above the Equator. It has a tropical climate with hot and humid weather conditions. The humidity level is quite high, around 84%.

The heat and high humidity contribute to the prevalence of conditions like frequent colds and throat problems, influenza, viral fevers, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, asthma, skin problems like eczema, psoriasis, musculoskeletal problems like arthritis, etc. Most of the public places and offices are air-conditioned to beat the excessive heat. An average Singaporean is subjected to wide temperature ranges which may result in many allergic reactions. Insomnia due to stressful living is also on the rise both in the young and old.

In a small country with a high standard of excellence, Singaporeans work very hard to maintain their competitive edge in the global market. This stress has resulted in increase in many disease conditions including diabetes, hypertension, heart problems, sexual dysfunction, fertility problems, addictive habits like smoking, psychological conditions like depression, etc.

Complementary systems of medicine like Homeopathy can help in these conditions, without side-effects, to bring effective and lasting cure.

Awareness of Homeopathy in Singapore

Homeopathy is a household name in many Asian countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka. In UK and in USA, it is fast regaining popularity as a safe, effective, low cost, non-habit forming system of medicine.

In Singapore, alternative medicines like Traditional Chinese Medicine are very popular. Homeopathy is relatively less known but is steadily making inroads as a complementary system of medicine.

There are about 50 to 60 practitioners of Homeopathy in a population of more than 4.3 million people in Singapore. The influx of people from countries like India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh has created a need for Homeopathy and the awareness is slowly increasing in the local population as well.

More and more people are looking for complementary and alternative systems of medicine with little or no side-effects. Homeopathy is at the forefront in this area, with its focus on bringing about gentle, rapid and permanent cure.

We have embarked on a concerted awareness programme delivered in the form of a series of talks on homeopathy and complementary systems of medicine at various locations, to increase awareness in the local population. Please see newsroom for latest information on this
